Volunteer

 

The St. Louis Affiliate of HR People + Strategy offers a variety of ways to be involved with other Senior level HR professionals within the organization.  We currently have volunteer opportunities available at both a committee level and the Board level.  Please review the information below and contact Angie Schaefer, President, to learn more!

Board Member at Large (2 openings)

  • Serves as a thought leader and advisor to the Board of Directors.
  • Supports the Committee Chairs as needed.
  • Offers guidance on overall strategic direction of the St. Louis Affiliate.
  • Provides input into the workflow of standard operating procedures.
  • Obtains sponsorship and financial support when appropriate.
  • Board members are required to attend a one hour virtual meeting every month, attend quarterly member meetings, and execute various action items to support the Board's efforts.

 

Finance Chair

  • Exercises financial stewardship and oversight of the utilization of the chapter's assets.
  • Works with the Chapter Administrative Professional to design Sponsor packages.
  • Oversees the Membership and Sponsor renewal process.
  • Collaborates with the President and Chapter Administrative Professional to create the annual budget.
  • The Finance Chair is required to attend a one hour virtual meeting every month, attend quarterly member meetings, and execute various action items to support the Board's efforts.

 

Communication and Marketing Committee

The Communication and Marketing Committee raises the internal and external visibility and credibility of the chapter through effectively positioning the St. Louis HR People + Strategy brand in all internal and external communications.  The Committee communicates through the member website, quarterly member meetings, and handles the advertising strategies for program events.  The Committee oversees the chapter's social media presence and communications as well as website content.  Committee members are required to attend a one hour virtual meeting every month, attend quarterly member meetings, and execute various action items to support the Committee's efforts.

 

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee promotes and ensures a diverse and active membership by attracting and recruiting the region's top strategic HR leaders to enhance and advance the profession. By leveraging the experience of both internal and external providers, we seek to enrich on another's experience by providing thought leadership and provocative dialogue about emerging trends, strategies and practices. Committee members are required to attend a one hour virtual meeting every month, attend quarterly member meetings, and execute various action items to support the Committee's efforts. 

 

Program Committee

The Programming Committee is responsible for adding member value by creating multiple opportunities and choices of formats where members can participate in learning and networking.  The Committee will plan, implement, and support quarterly member meetings and special events. Committee members are required to attend a one hour virtual meeting every month, attend quarterly member meetings, and execute various action items to support the Committee's efforts.
